Workman School News for Friday, October 1, 2021
Happy Friday Wildcats! I hope that you have had a wonderful week. We once again have experienced tragedy here at school, as one of our beloved wildcats lost their father over the weekend. This loss was unexpected and has created emotional and financial hardship for this sweet family. Once again we as a workman family will extend wildcat kindness to help this family feel loved and supported. Please read this letter to see how you can be helpful. Thank you in advance for any help you can provide. Just knowing they are part of such a caring and thoughtful community has helped this family get through these incredibly hard days. Hug your people
- ATTENTION all parents and guardians, would you like to help out during lunch or recess but just aren't able to commit to everyday? We have a wonderful volunteer opportunity for you to help us supervise students during lunch and recess. We are looking for 8 volunteers a day to help with either recess or lunch. The time is from 11:00 am-2:00 pm. You are welcome to volunteer as much as you’d like. Please make sure that you have completed the ichat process before you sign up. Also, all volunteers will need to go through the COVID self screener before coming in. We will be updating the signup genius each month until the end of the school year.
- Thank you in advance for volunteering. This is such a unique year with so many challenges, but with ALL of us working together, I know that we will get through this. #iamworkman

- P-CCS will host a community virtual town hall on the topic of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion this coming Tuesday, October 5, from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. The event will be broadcast via the P-CCS Official YouTube Channel and also archived on the channel for future viewing as well.
- Co-moderated by the district’s Curriculum and Human Resources departments, the town hall will create an opportunity for district leadership to address questions and feedback directly from the community regarding topics that surround the district’s diversity, equity, and inclusion work.
- If you would like to submit a question or feedback to be addressed during the town hall, you will be able to find an online form via the official P-CCS website starting Wednesday morning, September 29. This form will close on Sunday evening, October 3, at 7 p.m.
- You can find the P-CCS Official YouTube Channel on the homepage of the official district website or by simply searching ‘P-CCS Official’ on YouTube.
- Just a reminder for parents that the district’s mitigation strategies for the 2021/22 school year are located on the district website at:Updated P-CCS COVID-19 Mitigation Guidelines for 2021-22 School Year | P-CCS Information on COVID-19 | Plymouth-Canton Community Schools (pccsk12.com)
- It is important for parents to be familiar with these guidelines so that we can keep all students safe and at school (in-person) for the entire school year.
