Plymouth Art In The Park Starts July 7

PLYMOUTH, MI — The Fourth of July weekend will be gone before you know it, but that doesn’t mean an end to summer fun. Take Plymouth annual Art In The Park show. Now in its 38th year, the show kicks off Friday, July 7 and runs through Sunday July 9.

Hundreds of artists will cover downtown Plymouth along Main Street from roughly Wing Street to Church Street as well as Penniman Avenue and Ann Arbor Trail. From photography, sculpture and jewelry to ceramics, tile, wood work and much more, Art In The Park has something for nearly every taste.

Over the years, the show has grown into Michigan’s second largest. Entertainment and cuisine will complement the art exhibitors. Displays like the The Living Mural and George Tait's Living Statue are fascinating, and the One Love Reggae Band will provide some cool music to combat the summer heat.

Parking in the city of Plymouth can be tricky, but Art In The Park organizers have made it easy with a shuttle. It starts at the Burroughs factory located at the corner of Plymouth and Haggerty roads.

A round trip shuttle ride is $3 for adults and kids 12-years-old and younger ride for free. The shuttles will be operating continuously between Burroughs and Plymouth city hall. Shuttle Hours are:

• Friday: 10:30 am to 8:30 pm
• Saturday: 9:30 am to 7:30 pm
• Sunday: 9:30 am to 5:30 pm
