Power Outage Keeps Plymouth City Hall, Cultural Center Closed

PLYMOUTH, MI — The City of Plymouth City Hall and Cultural Center along with other parts of the city are still without power as of late Friday morning. DTE Energy continues to work on this issue but has been unable to provide an estimated time for power restoration to the facilities, according to city officials.
The Plymouth Cultural Center Ice Arena is also without power, which means all ice rentals are canceled through Sunday, March 12. In addition, all room rentals and class activities at the Plymouth Cultural Center for Saturday and Sunday, March 11-12 have not been canceled as of Friday morning. City officials said that is subject to change.
Full restoration of power is not expected until at least Sunday night, according to utility companies. Officials from DTE Energy said Friday morning that 400,000 customers remain without power statewide and 100,000 Consumers Energy customers remained without electricity, the Detroit News reported.
