Restaurant Choices Top Patch Readers' Wish List

PLYMOUTH, MI — Recently, the Plymouth-Canton Patch asked readers what businesses they would like to see come to town. Thus far, we’ve received 69 interesting responses. The theme?

More restaurants. It was by far the most frequent response, and our readers would like to see a barbeque restaurant and places like Olive Garden or Cracker Barrel. Several people suggested I-275 and Ann Arbor Road - the site of the old Steak and Ale Restaurant - as a good location.

But restaurants weren’t the only businesses on the wish list. A half-dozen people would like to see a bookstore return to downtown Plymouth. It’s about a decade since Compari’s, an Italian restaurant, replaced a popular bookstore across from Kellogg Park.

Others are asking for additional retail outlets and many others want another grocery option - Trader Joe’s. The oddest request? An indoor skate park!
