Romulus Mom Arrested For Driving Drunk With Toddler In Car: Canton Police

Canton Police arrested the woman after a traffic stop Friday. Her two-year-old daughter was in the car.

CANTON, MI — A 36-year-old Romulus woman is facing multiple charges after driving drunk with her young daughter inside of her car. Canton Police stopped the woman off of Mott Road east of Ridge Road for speeding. Police found an open bottle of alcohol and her two-year-old daughter in the vehicle.

Police took the woman into custody and she was facing misdemeanor charges of fourth-degree child abuse, a second drunken driving offense and having an open container of alcohol in her car.
She has pleaded not guilty in 35th District Court in Plymouth.
