Wolcott Takes Highest Vote Total In Plymouth Commission Race
Newcomers Ed Krol and Nicholas Moroz will join the city commission along with incumbent Daniel Dalton.

PLYMOUTH, MI — Mayor Pro-Tem Oliver Wolcott turned out to be Plymouth’s top vote-getter on Election Night. He won re-election to the city commission with 973 votes, according to unofficial results from Wayne County.
Newcomers Ed Krol and Nicholas Moroz will also join the commission and tallied 964 and 922 votes, respectively. Incumbent Daniel Dalton won re-election with 872 votes while write-in candidate David Latawiec tallied 504 votes.

All four of Plymouth’s voting precinct were at the Cultural Center on Farmer Street. Precinct Supervisor Bob Anderson said voting was strong before 9 a.m. and in the evening leading up to the polls closing at 8 p.m.

“The turnout has been more than we expected,” he said. A new voting system worked well, too. “It’s running very smoothly. I’m glad we have it.”
