You've Got To Have Art: Lange's 'Large Vision' Acrylics Featured At Canton's Village Theater

Jon Lange taught art to Crestwood students for more than 30 years, but now spends his days devoted to his passion.

CANTON, MI — The Village Theater at Cherry Hill is currently featuring the exhibit, "Large Vision," a solo show of more than twenty acrylic paintings by Jon Lange through March 29. Lange, a Michigan native and artist who has a passion for airbrushing, using acrylics to create large scale canvas paintings.

Lange’s passion for airbrushing began in 1998 and he often works up to nine hours a day creating and perfecting his projects. His large-scale paintings range in size from 2’ x 3’ to 5’ x 12’. Hailing from Trenton, Lange is a former art teacher from the Crestwood School District who retired after 37 years of service.

Lange has been a member of the Three Cities Art Club since 2014. He currently resides with his wife of 33 years, Karen Lange, in Livonia. He received a Bachelor of Science degree from Northern University and a Master of Science degree from Eastern University.

His exhibit, in the Gallery@VT, is free and open to the public: Monday – Friday 10 a.m. – 2 p.m., one hour prior to and during public performances at the theater, as well as by appointment. The Gallery@VT is closed on holidays. The gallery is located at 50400 Cherry Hill Rd., Canton, MI, 48187.
