• Portage assembles $6.2M for non-motorized trail near Austin Lake (mlive.com) — Portage is moving ahead with a more than $6 million, three-mile non-motorized trail along the east shore of Austin Lake, expected to open in 2027. Funded by state grants and city dollars, the 10-foot-wide path will link to the Vicksburg Trail, expand regional connectivity, and follows land purchases and an eminent domain settlement along East Shore Drive.
