Deputies Revive Overdose Victim With Narcan

A caller alerted Oakland County Sheriff's Office Deputies that the unconscious man had reportedly taken narcotics.

PONTIAC, MI — Oakland County Sheriff's Office Deputies responded to a potential overdose call in a Pontiac home, according to a press release.

Deputies were dispatched to the 200 block of Carriage Circle on Dec. 21 at 12:09 a.m. The 9-1-1 caller informed authorities that a 58-year-old Pontiac man was unconscious and unresponsive, and he had taken an unknown amount of narcotics resulting in a possible overdose.

Deputies administered a dose of Narcan to the victim. He became conscious, alert and resumed breathing normally.

Arriving paramedics continued with medical treatment and transported the victim to McLaren Hospital - Oakland for further evaluation.
