Deputies Use Taser to Subdue Rochester Hills Woman
Rochester Hills woman reportedly assaulted her husband, then allegedly charged at and threw punches at deputies.

ROCHESTER HILLS, MI — A 53-year-old Rochester Hills woman spent Christmas morning in the Oakland County Jail after she reportedly assaulted her husband. It doesn't end there. Oakland County Sheriff's Office deputies ended up using a Taser gun to subdue the woman after she reportedly threw punches and charged at deputies, according to a press release.
The incident happened on Dec. 25 at 12:34 a.m. Deputies were called to a home in the 3800 block of Teakwood Dr., and a 53-year-old man told arriving deputies that his wife was highly intoxicated and had assaulted him numerous times that evening.
While the man was speaking with a deputy, the woman emerged from an upstairs bedroom. She looked over the hallway railing at a deputy on the ground level of the home and yelled profanities at the deputy. Deputies reportedly gave the woman verbal commands to stop, yet she refused and instead reportedly charged down the stairs throwing punches toward a Deputy at the bottom of the stairs. Deputies attempted to handcuff her, but she wrestled free and tried kicking a Deputy in the face. It was at that point that a Deputy used a Taser gun to subdue the woman.
