Driver Busted For .23 Percent Blood Alcohol Content: Weekly Rochester Crime Report

Police received a 911 call about a motorist who was driving "erratically." Her blood alcohol content was nearly four times the legal limit.

ROCHESTER, MI — Rochester Police busted a woman for allegedly driving with a .23 percent blood alcohol content — nearly four times the legal limit in Michigan — during the middle of the day. The incident happened at 2 p.m. on Dec. 26., according to Rochester Police.

A 911 caller first alerted Rochester Police of a woman in a Chevy Malibu driving "erratically" in the area of First and Wilcox. Officers found the Chevy near McGreggor Elementary School and noticed the driver, a 62-year-old Lake Orion woman, showed signs of intoxication. She reportedly failed field sobriety testing, and was transported to the Rochester Police Department where she submitted to a breath test with results of .23 percent BAC. A warrant for operating with a high BAC is pending and she was released when sober.

-Dec. 27: A business owner in the 400 block of Main St. reported that a suspect had entered the business on Dec. 14 and purchased several items. The business also claimed that the items were paid for with a personal check that returned as non-sufficient funds/fraudulent. The amount was over $500, the case is under investigation.

-Dec. 28: A worker in the area of First and Mill reported that several tools had been stolen out of the rear of his work truck. The tools are valued at $150. The case is under investigation.
