Logo Contest Held For Clinton River Watershed: How To Enter
River Day on June 13 coincides with Michigan's Free Fishing Weekend and Great Lakes and Fresh Water Weekend. Do you have a design in mind?

ROCHESTER HILLS, MI — Are you an artist with a flare for nature around the mitten?
The Clinton River Watershed Council is now accepting submissions for its 22nd annual River Day Logo design contest. The contest encourages local artists to get involved in the promotion of River Day, which will be held Saturday, June 13. The event coincides with Michigan’s Free Fishing Weekend and Great Lakes and Fresh Water Week. Events occur throughout the entire month of June and will include festivals, fishing derbies, fly-tying lessons, clean up events, native plant sales, recreational opportunities, and other activities.

The winning River Day 2020 logo design will be used on official River Day shirts, the event guide and CRWC website to promote River Day. The winner of the River Day Logo design contest will receive an official River Day T-shirt with their design on it and a one-year membership to the watershed council. CRWC also will feature the artist’s picture and artist statement on the River Day event page on the CRWC website.
Contest guidelines:

- Artist must reside within the Clinton River Watershed
- Art must be black-and-white, thick line drawing, absolutely no gray tones
- Size: 8.5 x 11 inches or smaller
- The year 2020 must be prominent in the design of the logo, and the design must include the words River Day
- Electronic submissions (JPEG or TIFF files only) are permissible, but they must meet the above requirements and be 300 dpi resolution or greater. Please email electronic submissions to kathleen@crwc.org by April 1, 2020
- Hard copy submissions can be hand delivered or mailed to: CRWC, 1115 W Avon Rd. Rochester Hills, MI 48309 and must arrive by April 1, 2020.
Entries will be judged on their ability to convey River Day's goal of celebration and enjoyment of the Clinton River and Lake St. Clair, as well as their clarity and ability to be reproduced easily at a variety of scales. Judging and selection of the winning design will be completed at our annual meeting April 2, 2020. The winning design will be announced following this event.
