Man In Underwear Tries To Break Into Rochester Hills Home

A Rochester Hills family had to run off an intruder by threatening to get their gun over the weekend.

ROCHESTER HILLS, MI — A Rochester Hills family found a man wearing boxers and a t-shirt trying to break into their home in the 900 block of Majestic around 6:30 a.m. July 1, according to police. A member of the family reportedly saw the male wearing just his underwear and a t-shirt with his hand wrapped up trying to break the glass pane on a rear door. The residents all helped each other secure the other side of the door by pulling on it and yelling that they were going to get their gun to scare the man off.

Eventually he gave up and fled, according to the report, first trying to flee in a locked 2018 grey Porsche Macan parked in the street and then on foot. Responding officers tried to track the man with a K-9 but were unsuccessful. By investigating the Porsche, police say they are looking for a 27-year-old Auburn Hills man as a suspect in the break-in. They will continue to investigate.
