Oakland Co. Teacher Sexually Abuses Young Relative For Over 7 Years: Sheriff

The girl told investigators the abuse started when she was 7-years-old and lasted for seven years, officials said.

PONTIAC, MI — A Pontiac man is faces charges after repeatedly sexually assaulting a relative since she was 7-years-old, according to the Oakland County Sheriff's Office.

Brian David Hallock, 44, was charged with second-degree criminal sexual conduct. He was placed in jail with a $100,000 bond.

If he posts bond, he must wear a GPS tether and cannot have contact with anyone under age 18. His next court date is scheduled for Oct. 15.

Officials said Hallock has been molesting the girl, who is now 14, for the past seven years. He was arrested on Sept. 16 at a home on Second Avenue in Pontiac where a 911 caller said the sexual assault happened, officials said.

Investigators questioned Hallock, who denied all allegations of sexual abuse.

Hallock is a third-grade teacher at a charter school. Officials said the girl was not one of his students. They did not identify the school.

"A family member has a sacred duty to protect, nurture, and love a child entrusted to their care,"
Oakland County Sheriff Michael Bouchard said. "There is no conduct more reprehensible than not only ignoring that duty but violating the very child they are meant to safeguard. I look forward to seeing him held fully accountable."
