Oakland HS Senior Breaks 34-Year-Old Record: Star Student

Patch and T-Mobile are partnering to celebrate Star Students who make life better in Michigan with contributions big and small.

OAKLAND TOWNSHIP-LAKE ORION, MI — Star Students are found in classrooms, on concert and theater stages and at debate lecterns, and out in the community doing good things to make life better for all of us.

Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize Star Students, and we’re working to tell the stories of these outstanding kids to their neighbors.

Why do you believe the star local student should be recognized?

She has been training for basketball the last four years, put in all the hard work during the summer and at AAU tournaments and her senior year is really coming together for her. She’s broken stuff records one of them was held for 34 years at Olk and Christian school for most points scored in a game

What's one thing you want everyone to know about the star local student?

How hard she has worked, and now all that hard work is coming together in her basketball career and will come together for her college career
