The City of Rochester's Historic District Study Committee will meet at 7 p.m. on Oct. 2 at Rochester City Hall, 400 Sixth St. in Rochester.
3. Plan Ahead: Public Hearing on Gas and Oil Rights in Rochester on Oct. 14
The subject of horizontal drilling in Rochester has drawn some strong opinions from around the community. Citizens can voice their concerns at a 7 p.m. Rochester City Council meeting on Oct. 14.
4. Blood Drive at Rochester Hills Public Library This Week
You can donate blood this week at the Rochester Hills Public Library. The blood drive will run from 8 a.m.-5:45 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 4 in the library's multipurpose room.

5. Check Out 'Rochester Posed' This Week Downtown
Come to downtown Rochester to see the works of Norman Rockwell come alive during Rochester Posed, downtown Rochester’s first live mannequin event, themed this year after Norman Rockwell. Participating downtown Rochester businesses will turn their storefront windows into live mannequin displays from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, with in-store promotions running at various downtown merchants from 5-9 p.m.
