Rochester Hills Doctor Sentenced To Prison For Secretly Recording, Sexually Assaulting Women And Children

ROCHESTER HILLS, MI — A disgraced Rochester Hills doctor was sentenced to prison Tuesday for secretly recording and sexually assaulting women and children.

Oumair Aejaz, 41, will spend at least the next 35 years in prison after he pleaded no contest to 31 counts of sexual misconduct. He could be locked away for a maximum 60 years. He faced up to life in prison for two counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct.

In August 2024, Aejaz’s wife told officials that he had been secretly recording her, their two minor children and female relatives in their home. She then found other recordings of individuals undressing at Goldfish Swim School in Rochester Hills, officials said.

Oakland County sheriff's officials said Aejaz secretly recorded children as young as 2-years-old and other adults at the swim school and used hidden cameras to record children and women in places like hospital rooms, bathrooms and bedrooms. They also said they found videos of him sexually assaulting a young girl.

"The exploitation of women and children—especially in some cases when he used his trusted position as a physician—is absolutely unconscionable," Oakland County Sheriff Michael Bouchard. "This sentence reflects the gravity of his crimes and delivers the justice these victims deserve."
