Rochester Students Make Valentine's Day Cards For Sick Kids
The public is also invited to make handmade cards for the children at DMC Children's Hospital of Michigan.

ROCHESTER HILLS, MI — It's going to be a special Valentine's Day for some of the areas most vulnerable children, thanks to the students The Montessori School Rochester. These Montessori students wanted to do something special for children who are patients in the hospital this season.
Children ages 6-12 are making homemade valentines in their classrooms at the school to show their support and help put a smile on another child’s face this Valentine’s Day. The personalized messages on the cards have included, “you can do it,” or “I’m rooting for you.”
The cards will be packaged by the children with love and will be hand delivered to DMC Children’s Hospital in Troy by Montessori School Rochester parent, Anam Taufig, who is a physical therapist at the hospital.

The students are also hoping to rally the community in their efforts, too.
“We’re inviting the public to create their own cards for the children at DMC Children’s Hospital of Michigan," said Joanna Shango, Head of School. Locals can then drop them off at The Montessori School Rochester by Feb. 12.
