Woman Revived With Two Doses Of Narcan: Police

Deputies say a man called 9-1-1 to report his girlfriend was allegedly a heroin user and she was lying unconscious on the bedroom floor.

OAKLAND COUNTY, MI — Two doses of Narcan revived an unconscious 24-year-old woman, according to a police report.

The incident unfolded on Jan. 31 at 10:37 p.m. A man called 9-1-1 and said he had found his girlfriend lying on the floor unconscious and having difficulty breathing, according to the police report. Oakland County Sheriff's Office Deputies and the Lyon Township Fire Department were dispatched to the scene at a residence in the 100 block of Manistee St. in Lyon Township.

Deputies arriving on the scene say the man stated his girlfriend was reportedly a heroin addict, and he had left the residence briefly and upon returning discovered his girlfriend unconscious. Deputies say two hypodermic needles were found on the floor next to the the young woman.

Paramedics gave the woman two doses of Narcan, and she regained consciousness and began breathing normally, according to the police report. She was stabilized and transported to Providence Park Hospital - Novi for medical treatment, Deputies say.

The victim is in stable condition.
