Arts, Beats And Eats 2017: Photography, Painting, Jewelry Among Art Offerings
Metro Detroit will show its creative side at Arts, Beats and Eats over Labor Day weekend.
ROYAL OAK, MI — While music and food are big draws to Royal Oak’s Arts, Beats and Eats, so to is a variety of arts. From ceramics and digital art to drawings, pastels and a juried fine arts show, metropolitan Detroit’s creative side will be highlighted, too.
Artists from across will showcase their work on 7th Street between Lafayette & Washington, Washington between 7th and Lincoln, and Lincoln between Washington and Center, according to the Arts, Beats & Eats website.
The art fair hours are:
Friday, September 1: 11:00am - 9:00pm
Saturday, September 2: 11:00am - 9:00pm
Sunday, September 3: 11:00am - 9:00pm
Monday, September 4: 11:00am - 5:00pm

Just about every form of artistic expression will be on display. Besides ceramics, drawings and pastels, festival goers will find a variety of colorful fabrics, fiber and leathers. Jewelry, glass, metals, mixed media, and photography are just some of the other items that will be featured.

The festival, which is sponsored by Ford Motor Company, runs Sept. 1-4. The festival goes from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday - Sunday and from 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. on Labor Day.
More than 200 musical acts are lined up for Arts, Beats and Eats, too. Eight stages will be featured and cover rock, blues, jazz, R&B and even a little folk music.
Food, of course, course is a big part of Arts, Beats and Eats. More than 40 Metro Detroit restaurants will provide the cuisine.
