BBQ Battle Held In Oakland County; Registration Open Now
Grill masters, now is your time to shine.

OAKLAND COUNTY, MI — Are you a grill master? Oakland County is hosting a BBQ Battle and registration is open now.
There are still a few openings available for Oakland County Parks and Recreation's BBQ Battle rib competition held at the Oak Park Community Center grounds from 11 a.m.-7 p.m. Aug. 10.
Teams will compete for $1,500 in cash prizes using wood, charcoal or gas grills.

Team check-in and meat inspection will be from 7-9 a.m. with all BBQ turned into judges by 3:30 p.m.
Entries will be judged on taste, tenderness and appearance. All meats must be prepared on site. Marinating, seasoning or parboiling before arrival is not allowed.

Entry is $50/team and the competition is limited to 36 teams. Registration deadline is Saturday, July 20.
