Burger Bash Detroit On Tap In Royal Oak

Craft beer, amazing french fries and sweet treats will round out the Royal Oak event.

ROYAL OAK, MI — Who makes the best hamburger in metropolitan Detroit? That question will be answered Friday night as Royal Oak hosts the Burger Bash Detroit. Located at the Farmer’s Market at 316 E. 11 Mile Road, the fourth annual event runs from 7:30 - 10:30 p.m.

Nearly two dozen restaurants will be vying for the “Best All-Around Burger” and “Best Sweet,” according to event organizers. And with creations like the “Bedda Chedda Bacon Burger” from Granite City Troy, the Basement Burger Bar of Detroit’s “Smoked So Gouda and Aioli Burger,” and the “Tropical 42” from North 42 Restaurant and Bar in Harrison Township, the competition is going to be juicy.

All restaurants will use the same blend of ground beef from Eastern Market's Fairway Packing Co. for the competition, the Detroit Free Press reported. Each competing restaurant plans to make 500 slider-size burgers.
