Community Mosaic Project Unveiled at Library
Local ceramic artists Marcia Hovland and Laurie Eisenhardt designed and oversaw the creation of mosaic panels with the support of the Royal Oak Chamber of Commerce and the Friends of the Royal Oak Public Library.

The Royal Oak Chamber of Commerce and Royal Oak Public Library unveiled the latest panels of a community created art project in the library’s youth area on Wednesday.
Laurie Eisenhardt and Marcia Hovland started the Community Mosaic Project in 2010 using scrap materials donated by artists exhibiting in the .
Using the donated shards, the latest mosaic panels were assembled by fair attendees of all ages over the two-day event in 2012. Two panels were also created in 2010 and two more in 2011.

Eisenhardt and Hovland will continue the tradition at this year's Clay, Glass & Metal Show on June 8-9.
