Feds Raid Royal Oak Lab
A lab in Royal Oak was raided by Federal agents. The nature of the raid was not disclosed.
ROYAL OAK, MI — Federal agents recently raided the Crooks Road Affordable Lab office in Royal Oak. A similar raid was performed at a Detroit home at roughly the same time Wednesday. Federal authorities wouldn’t reveal the nature of the raids, but did say that no arrests were made.
“We believe there is a connection” between the two locations, U.S. Department of Homeland Security spokesman Khaalid Walls said. In Royal Oak, agents were still active outside the Affordable Lab office at 2530 Crooks Road more than five hours later as neighbors lingered at a distance and tried to find out was going on.
Michigan State Police Meth Team troopers in HazMat suits were seen outside the lab and state police alerted area residents not to be alarmed.
