10:00 a.m.: Consumers Energy crews responded Friday morning to a gas main break on Coolidge, south of 13 Mile Road, in Royal Oak.
The 2-inch gas main was damaged by a cement contractor working in the area, Consumers Energy representative Debra Dodd said. Consumers crews were on site to make the area safe and no evacuations had been ordered, she said.

The Royal Oak Fire Department also was on the scene and all road work appeared to have been halted as of 9:35 a.m. Friday.
"I was heading to Office Depot around 8:15 a.m. or just thereafter and I could smell it through the closed doors of my minivan," Jenn Johnson wrote on the Berkley Patch Facebook page. "When I was heading back, half an hour later, one side of Coolidge was blocked by a fire truck but not the other side."
A $1 million rehabilitation and resurfacing project on Coolidge Highway from Webster to Woodward is underway at the site as part of the Road Commission for Oakland County's 2013 construction program.
"Our contractor was removing some concrete at the intersection of Parker and Coolidge and inadvertently broke a gas line," Road Commission for Oakland County public information officer Craig Bryson said.
Bryson said he expected the line would be shut down quickly. While no gas main break is inconsequential, a 2-inch line is comparatively small, he said.
On Feb. 27, a 58-year-old man was fatally injured in an explosion in the 4200 block of Cooper Avenue in Royal Oak. Consumers Energy workers were replacing gas mains in the area before the explosion occurred.
