'Global Warming a Hoax? Why it Matters' Talk Coming Royal Oak
President Trump thinks global warming is a hoax while others disagree. Royal Oak will host a talk on all things global warming on Monday.

ROYAL OAK, MI — When it comes to the topic of global warming, everyone seems to have an opinion. To President Donald Trump, it’s a hoax invented by the Chinese to undermine U.S. manufacturing. Former Vice President Al Gore thinks differently as does Hollywood star Leonardo DiCaprio.
Then there’s EPA Chief Scott Pruitt. He says that carbon dioxide from the burning of fossil fuels is not a primary cause of global warming and that there is "tremendous disagreement" among scientists on whether or not global warming is occurring.
Royal Oak’s Environmental Advisory Board will host a talk about all things global warming and climate change with Chris J. Poulsen, Chair and Professor of Earth and Environmental Sciences at the University of Michigan. Poulsen will present “Global Warming a Hoax? Why it Matters” on Monday, May 22 starting at 7 p.m. at the Royal Oak Public Library.
