Halloween Get-Ups Win Over Celebrity Judges
Royal Oak royalty is asked to judge Halloween costumes at Oak Ridge Elementary. And the winner is...
A pumpkin boy, gangster and a cowgirl walked away with "Best Costume" titles at the Cub Scout Pack 1631 Halloween party at Oak Ridge Elementary Wednesday evening, topping a pool of dozens of contestants.
Celebrity judges - Mayor Jim Ellison, Royal Oak Police Officer Andre Stienke, and 2013 Royal Oak High School homecoming king and queen Austin Carter and Emma Eising - had the difficult task of choosing the winners from a parade of costumes led by Royal Oak High School mascot Rocky the Raven.
"It's too hard for me to judge," said Dr. Jason Parrott, Oak Ridge principal. "All the costumes are so good."
Congratulations to all the boys and girls who entered the contest.
And the winners...
Most original: Brayoln Bushey, 7
Best costume: Ben Snenry, 9
Best sibling costume: Molly Anne Buckheim, 4
