Holiday Spectacular Replaces Royal Oak's Holiday Parade

The intersection of Washington Street and Fifth Street will be the epicenter of the event.

ROYAL OAK, MI — The inaugural Royal Oak Holiday Spectacular will be held on Saturday, Dec. 16 from 4 to 10 p.m. The celebration will include plenty of family friendly activities, including live music, ferris wheel rides, pictures with Santa, fire pits, carriage rides throughout the city, a life size snow globe selfie station, and a kids zone.

The intersection of Washington Street and Fifth Street in downtown Royal Oak will be transformed into a winter wonderland, according to event organizers. The Holiday Spectacular is replacing the longtime holiday parade.

  • Ferris Wheel Rides from 4:30-6:30pm
  • Free Pictures With Santa from 6-9 p.m.
  • Carriage Rides Located At Center and Fifth Avenue. The cost is $5 Per Adult, from 6:30-7 p.m.
  • Tree Lighting Ceremony
  • Visit The New 4-Story Tree, from 7:00-9:00pm
