Police Recover Cache of Stolen Goods in Royal Oak
Stolen property could be linked to spate of thefts from cars.

Police recovered a stash of suspected stolen goods during a search in Royal Oak on Nov. 1. Many of the items have been traced to burglaries from unlocked vehicles, according to Royal Oak Police.
Police detectives executed a search warrant on Todd Prunkard’s Royal Oak residence and recovered stolen property to three previously reported thefts from automobiles, according to police.
Police say Prunkard confessed to detectives to stealing the property from unlocked vehicles in Royal Oak over the last several months.

Detectives are working to identify the owners of the additional property recovered from his house.
Prunkard, 35, was previously arrested on Oct. 27 by Royal Oak police for allegedly trying to steal a portable GPS unit.

Prunkard faces new charges of possession of stolen property worth $1,000-$20,000, which is a five year felony. He was arraigned on Nov. 3 in Oakland County 6th Circuit by Magistrate Andra Richardson. Bond was set at $25,000.
Prunkard is currently being held in the Oakland County Jail. The next scheduled court date is set for the 44th District Court on Nov. 8 at 9 a.m. in front of Judge Terrence Brennan.
