Royal Oak Arts, Beats And Eats 2024: 8 Performances Not To Miss

Top music acts Cheap Trick, Tesla, Dustin Lynch, Chevelle and Keith Sweat will headline this year's festival.

ROYAL OAK, MI — Top music acts Cheap Trick, Tesla, Dustin Lynch, Chevelle and Keith Sweat will headline this year's Soaring Eagle Arts, Beats and Eats event in downtown Royal Oak, event organizers announced Wednesday.

Those national headliners will join eight others stages with lineups that will feature more than 600 local artists from the metro Detroit area.

The annual Labor Day weekend festival that brings together food, music and art will be spread out over four days in downtown Royal Oak. The event starts Aug. 30 and runs through Sept. 2.

There will also be dozens of artist and food vendors, along with stage activities for kids. A cannabis use area will also return this year. Last year, the event became Michigan's first major event to offer a dedicated and authorized cannabis use space.

Friday, Aug. 30

  • Cheap Trick (Hard Rock) 7:30 p.m. – 9:00 p.m
  • Tesla (Hard Rock) 9:30 p.m. – 11:00 p.m.

Saturday, Aug. 31

  • The Cadillac Three (Country/Rock) 7:30 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
  • Dustin Lynch (Country) 9:30 p.m. – 11:00 p.m.

Sunday, Sept.1

  • Gin Blossoms (Alternative Rock) 7:30 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
  • Chevelle (Alternative Rock) 9:30 p.m. – 11:00 p.m.

Monday, Sept.2

  • Pop 2000 Tour (POP) 6:30 p.m. – 7:15 p.m.
  • Keith Sweat (R&B) 7:45 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.

Festival hours for the weekend are 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Friday Aug 30; Saturday Aug 31; Sunday Sept 1; and 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Monday Sept 2. Admission prices range from $7 to $8.
