Royal Oak Fight Caught On Video
Fight occurred outside of nightclub "Fifth Avenue" on Saturday night.
ROYAL OAK, MI — Royal Oak Police are investigating a violent clash of young men outside Fifth Avenue nightclub on Saturday night. Video of the incident was posted by radio station WWJ-AM and it shows the men punching each others. Bouncers from the nightclub appear to have broken up the fight.
“Those happen pretty quickly and they look pretty violent,” Royal Oak Lt. Keith Spencer told the radio station. “That type of behavior is something we want to keep an eye on and prevent and when it does happen that our officers respond appropriately.”
Fifth Avenue is located 215 Fifth Avenue between between Washington Avenue and Main Street. The time the incident occurred Saturday is unclear. It’s also unknown if any serious injuries resulted. Royal Oak police regularly patrol the area, especially near closing time, Spencer said.
