Royal Oak Man Arrested In Stabbing, Shooting Incident
A Royal Oak man has been arrested in connection with a fight at the Woodward North Apartments.

ROYAL OAK, MI — A 35-year-old Royal Oak man has been arrested in connection with a stabbing and shooting incident at the Woodward North Apartments on 13 Mile Road Sunday afternoon. Police believe a 26-year-old Lathrup Village resident came to the apartments to confront the Royal Oak man over a “personal disagreement.”
A fight ensued and the Royal Oak man fled into an apartment, Royal Oak Police Lt. Keith Spencer said in a news release. The man returned a short time later and stabbed the Lathrup Village man in the arm. A third man, who police believe accompanied the 26-year-old, then shot the Royal Oak man in the leg.
Police were called to the scene at about 2 p.m. Sunday. The shooter fled the scene and Royal Oak police are still investigating, attempting to locate the man. Emergency vehicles responded moments after police arrived and transported the men to Beaumont Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The 35-year-old Royal Oak man has been arrested and remains in custody. Police didn’t specify the charges against him. The Lathrup Village resident was taken into custody and has since been released pending further investigation, Spencer said.
