Royal Oak Township Dollar Tree Robbed At Gunpoint: MSP

Troopers said the man threatened to shoot the two employees at the store if they did not give him the money in the cash register.

ROYAL OAK, MI — Michigan State Police are investigating an armed robbery that took place Friday night at the Royal Oak Township Dollar Tree store.

According to troopers, they were called to the store around 9 p.m. Friday following reports of a robbery.

Officers said that witnesses had reported that a Black man wearing a hoodie and a face mask had been in the store making cash purchases before leaving. When the other customers in the store left, he returned brandishing a gun, police said.
