Thieves Hit Royal Oak 13 Mile Road Apartment Complex

A pair of breaking and entering incidents were reported in the 4000 block of W. 13 Mile Road on July 2.

METRO DETROIT, MI — For the week of June 29, 2017 through July 6, the Royal Oak Police Department made 33 arrests. Warrant arrests were far and away the highest number of those arrests, with five people being arrested on felony charges and five on misdemeanor warrants. Here’s a look at incidents in the community for over the past week:

Breaking and Entering
4000 block of W. Thirteen Mile, 7-2-17, 12:00 a.m. – 7:30 a.m.: Compliant reported an unknown suspect(s) entered the apartment through an open window and stole 2 sets of car keys and a wallet. The complainant’s vehicles were also rummaged through.

1900 block of Lloyd, 6-27-17 – 7-4-17, 12:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.: Complainant reported an unknown suspect(s) attempted to pry open the back door to her home.

Larceny from Motor Vehicle
1000 block of Woodsboro, 6-28-17 – 6-29-17, 11:00 p.m. – 5:55 a.m.: Complainant reported an unknown suspect(s) entered his unlocked Cadillac parked in the driveway and stole cash.

1000 block of Woodsboro, 6-28-17 – 6-29-17, 11:30 p.m. – 7:30 a.m.: Complainant reported an unknown suspect(s) entered his unlocked Ford truck parked in the driveway and stole cash.

900 block of Woodsboro, 6-28-17 – 6-29-17, 10:00 p.m. – 5:15 a.m.: Complainant reported an unknown suspect(s) entered her unlocked Chevy parked in the driveway and stole loose change.

300 block of W. Bloomfield, 7-4-17 – 7-5-17, 8:00 p.m. – 5:20 p.m.: Complainant reported an unknown suspect(s) stole his golf equipment from his unlocked Dodge parked in the street.

Larceny
Seventh Street & Center Street, 6-30-17 – 7-1-17, 11:00 p.m. – 11:00 a.m.: Complainants reported an unknown suspect(s) stole and damaged merchandise being stored inside a vendor tent located in the area for Rib Fest.

Malicious Destruction of Property
1400 block of Hoffman, 7-4-17, 12:00 a.m. – 6:00 a.m.: Complainant reported an unknown suspect(s) broke the back window of her Dodge which was parked in the driveway.
