Vandals Spray Paint Royal Oak Parking Deck

ROYAL OAK, MI — A pair of suspects were arrested Wednesday evening after allegedly spray painting the wall of the Emagine Theatre parking structure. Royal Oak police responded to the 200 N. Main Street location at about 7:45 p.m. after receiving a complaint and arrested the suspects. They were charged with Malicious Destruction of Property.

The incident was one of 42 arrests Royal Oak police officers made between June 22-29. Five arrests were made off of people driving with a suspended license, and five others for misdemeanor warrants. Here’s a rundown of incidents provided by the Royal Oak Police Department:

Breaking and entering
3015 N Main Street (Salvation Army), 6-21-17 – 6-22-17, 6:54 p.m. – 7:00 a.m.: Complainant reported an unknown suspect(s) entered the building and stole a cash box.

Larceny from Motor Vehicle
2400 block of Evergreen, 6-22-17 – 6-23-17, 8:30 a.m. – 7:13 a.m.: Complainant reported an unknown suspect(s) entered two (2) unlocked vehicles in the drive and stole loose change.

Larceny
500 block of Midland, 6-16-17 – 6-22-17, 4:00 p.m. – 1:30 p.m.: Complainant reported an unknown suspect(s) removed the copper piping from two (2) condominium units currently under construction.

221 E. 12 Mile Road (Subway), 6-24-17, 2:02 p.m.: Complainant reported an unknown suspect(s) stole her iPhone from the counter where she placed it.

1400 block of Poplar Ave., 4-17-17 – 6-22-17, 8:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.: Complainant reported an acquaintance may have stolen a gold bracelet from his home.

2000 block of Rochester Rd., 5-21-17 – 6-17-17, 12:42 p.m. – 5:02 p.m.: Complainant reported unknown suspect(s) stole several UPS packages from her front door.

Malicious Destruction of Property
1712 Chester Rd. (Amber Apartments), 6-24-17 – 6-25-17, 12:00 a.m. – 11:59 p.m. Complainant reported unknown suspect(s) damaged two commercial washing machines in an apparent theft attempt.

2200 E. Twelve Mile Rd. (Kroger), 6-26-17, 8:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.: Complainant reported unknown suspect(s) smashed the rear window of her Chevrolet.

1800 block of Chester, 6-27-17 – 6-28-17, 10:00 p.m. – 9:30 a.m.: Complainant reported an unknown suspect(s) broke the rear window to her Jeep while it was parked in the parking lot.
