Viewfinder: Monday Night Baseball at Memorial Park
Most nights during the summer, kids, coaches and families gather at ballparks around Royal Oak for some baseball.
Nearly every night of the week during the summer there is a Royal Oak Sandlot League basball game being played place at one of the many ballfields that dot Royal Oak. On Monday, we captured three games at the mothership, .
The league is open to all kids who live or attend school (public or private) in Royal Oak. Monday's players ranged from middle school students to those in high school. In addition to regular baseball, ROSL offers softball, T-ball and control pitch leagues and enrolled more than 1,000 players this season.
