WATCH: Royal Oak's Pink Pump Featured on New TV Show

New TV series, "Start Up," highlights Michigan entrepreneurs.

Downtown Royal Oak's Pink Pump, 309 S. Main St., is the subject of an episode of "Start Up," a 30-minute nationally distributed program on PBS.

The new public television series, which highlights entrepreneurs throughout the country, debuted this fall on WTVS, channel 56, in Detroit. The show airs Mondays at 7:30 p.m.

"I'm kind of obsessed with this new TV show," said Jason Alley, a Patch community editor. "This is its first season. For each episode, the host visits three small businesses throughout the U.S. and highlights how powerful small biz is compared to big box stores."

The episode with Pink Pump owner Tawny Thieu has aired, but if you haven't see it yet, it's worth a look.
