Week Ahead: City Meetings, 'Guys and Dolls' Opens and More
There's a lot going on in Royal Oak this week. Here are five things you should know as you go about your week.

There's always a lot going on in Royal Oak. Here are some highlights this week:
- Leaf collection continues: Not so sexy but important, the 2013 leaf collection schedule continues in Royal Oak. There are be six weeks of leaf collection in which the Department of Public Service (DPS) crews work to remove as many of the leaves as possible from the streets of the city. Each area of the city will be covered at least twice within the six weeks. Residents are asked to be mindful of the leaf collection schedule and to work with your neighbors to make this year a complete success.
- City Commission meets Monday: The City Commission meeting starts at 7:30 p.m. at City Hall. Click here for the agenda.
- Planning Commission meets Tuesday: The Planning Commission meeting starts at 7:30 p.m. at City Hall. Click here for the agenda.
- The school board meets Thursday: Royal Oak Schools Board of Education will meet at 7 p.m. inside at 1123 Lexington Blvd. Click here for the agenda.
- 'Guys and Dolls' opens Friday: The critically acclaimed Royal Oak Drama Club will perform Guys and Dolls, the beloved musical based on a story and characters by Damon Runyon. Click here for more information and show times.
