Weekend Lane Closures, Road Work Continues

METRO DETROIT, MI — Construction season on metropolitan Detroit roads and freeways is continuing this weekend. That means lane closures, detours and more than a few headaches for drivers. Here’s an update from the Michigan Department of Transportation on what to expect this weekend:

Grand River Avenue:
Oakland – EB/WB Grand River, Purdue to Grove, one lane open Friday 8 p.m. to Monday at 5 a.m.

I-696:
Oakland – EB/WB I-696 thru Oakland County, moving lane closures for sweeping thru 5/15.

I-75:
Oakland - NB I-75, between Davisburg Road and Rattalee, Rest Area, closed 8a.m. and 3 p.m. on Monday.
Oakland - NB I-75 at Clarkston Road, right lane closed, second left open, Friday 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

I-94:
Macomb - EB I-94, South River Road to 23 Mile Road, one lane open nightly from Monday through Friday 7 p.m. to 6 a.m.
Macomb – EB/WB I-94, St. Clair County Line & Wayne County, moving lane closure Monday through May 15.

M-10: (Lodge)
Wayne - SB M-10 at Larned, left lane and exit ramp closed, Friday 7 a.m. to Monday at 5 p.m.

Old M-14: (Plymouth Rd)
Wayne - WB Plymouth, Harrison Road to Farmington, one lane open Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

M-3: (Gratiot)
Wayne – NB/SB, Connor to Moross, moving closure in right lane, two lanes open Friday 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.

M-5:
Oakland - EB M-5 at Drake, one lane open, left lane closed, Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

M-53:
Macomb - SB M-53 under M-59, right shoulder closed, Monday 6 a.m. to Friday 12 p.m.

M-85: (Fort St)
Wayne – NB/SB M-85, Trumbull to Griswold, CLOSED Saturday from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m.

US-12: (Michigan Ave)
Wayne - EB US-12, Middlebelt to Telegraph, 2 left lanes open, two right lanes closed Friday 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Monday 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

US-24: (Telegraph)
Wayne - NB US-24, Cherry Hill to Ford Road, one lane open Saturday at 7 am. To Monday at 5 a.m.
