SALINE TOWNSHIP, MI — Two people were killed and four others were injured in a four-vehicle weekend crash in Saline Township, according to state police.

Troopers responded around 7:30 p.m. Friday to the scene at Michigan Avenue and Willow Road, police said, adding the crash involved three passenger vehicles and a semitrailer.

The driver of a 2012 Dodge Ram pickup traveling west on Michigan Avenue tried to pass a 2024 Volvo semitrailer and, in the process, struck an eastbound 2012 Jeep Cherokee, which ran off the road, according to police. The Ram then sideswiped the semi, continued west in the eastbound lane and collided head-on with a 2016 Chevrolet Silverado, police said.
