Bishop Scores 7 To Lead Saline Over Salem
The Lady Hornets lacrosse team improved to 2-1 this season.
Chelsey Bishop scored five straight goals in the game’s first five minutes and finished with seven markers as Saline trounced Salem 13-3 in varsity lacrosse action Tuesday.
The Saline sophomore seemed able to score at will, posting all five goals as Saline jumped to an early 5-0 lead and never looked back as the Hornets improved to 2-1.
“Early in the game they were guarding me normalyl and I was able to get to the crease,” said Bishop, who played on the varsity team as a freshman last season and also plays in travel leagues. “Later on, they always had two or three people guarding me and it was tougher to get near the net.”
