Bishop Scores Her 100th Goal in Saline Win

The Saline Hornets girls lacrosse team improved to 9-7 with a 17-12 win over Ann Arbor Gabriel Richard Monday.

The Hornets won the war of the ground balls, 47-41.

Chelsey Bishop fired 13 of Saline's 29 shots on goal and scored seven goals. Bishop's 5th goal was her 100th of the season. She went on to add two more. The Hornets also got three goals each from Eryn Healy and Amelia Waters. Meredith Phillips scored twice. Briana Martin and Alison Rentschler eached scored once.

Martin also led the team with four assists and 14 ground balls. Healy added two assists and nine ground balls. Waters had two assists and seven ground balls. Kristen Powell won eight ground balls and Phillips took seven.

Allison Broucek made 16 saves in net for the Hornets. Rentschler won three draws.
