Bruley Battles to The Palace
Sophomore Adam Bruley was the only Saline Hornet to qualify for the state meet at Saturday's regional.
Saline sophomore Adam Bruley was the only Hornet wrestler to qualify for the March 3-5 state finals meet at The Palace of Auburn Hills.
Bruley lost his opening match but battled back to take the fourth and final qualifying spot in his 112-pound Division 1 regional weight class. The regional was held Saturday at
Junior Ryan Boxeth (119) and sophomores Nate O'Sullivan (125) and Alex Cornelius (130) also wrestled at Saturday's regional. All three lost their opening-round matches. Boxeth and O'Sullivan won in Round 2 two but were beaten in the blood round. Cornelius went 0-2 on the day.
