Community Baby Shower Aims to Help Little Ones Get Off To A Good Start

Donors can drop off supplies at the Charles Reinhart Company office in Saline.

Residents can help youngsters get a healthy start in life by supporting the United Way of Washtenaw County's Community Baby Shower.

Until June 15 donors can drop off supplies at the office in Saline. 

With baby formula as much $150 a month and diapers close to $12 a day, United Way is looking to ease the burden on young families.

People are asked to drop off new items, such as diapers, formula, health care items, baby clothes, wipes, blankets, baby food, pacifiers, pull-ups, bottles, digital thermometers and potty chairs. Gently used strollers and baby gates will also be accepted.

The Community Baby Shower initiative is in support of agencies like Catholic Support Services, Corner Health, Home of New Vision, the Hope Clinic, Packard Health, Perry Nursery School, SOS Community Center and more agencies.
