Why Go: After your Saturday dinner, head out to the Lighthouse Coffee Co. to hear a concert by a regional artist. This week, JJ Thames is featured.

Where/When: Motawi Tileworks, 170 Enterprise Dr., Ann Arbor, 10 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Saturday.
Why Go: Learn something completely new. The workshop allows amateur tile makers and those seeking a unique immersive cultural experience an opportunity to create their very own custom tile.
Pricing: $35.
3. CEDAR RAPIDS AT THE MICHIGAN THEATER
Where/When: Michigan Theater, 603 E. Liberty St., Ann Arbor. 4:45, 7 and 9 .m. Friday and Saturday. 1:45, 4:15, 6:30 and 8:30 p.m. Sunday.
Why Go: Let’s list the reasons to see Cedar Rapids. Peter Travers of Rolling Stone calls it “Hilarious and heartfelt.” It was shot in Ann Arbor, so you’ll know a lot of the scenery. It stars John C. Reilly and features Daily Show alumni Ed Helms and Rob Corddry. And don’t forget Ann Heche and Sigourney Weaver. Oh, yeah, and watch for Saline City Councilman David Rhoads, who has a few lines in the movie. And parents, it’s rated “R.”
Pricing: $9 general, $7 students, veterans, seniors (over 55) and children (under 12). $6.50 for Michigan Theater members.
4. BREWED AWAKENINGS LIVE ENTERTAINMENT
Where/When: Brewed Awakenings, 7025 E. Michigan Ave., Saline. 6:30 p.m.
Why Go: Saline’s newest café features live entertainment and open-mic artists each Saturday. Since Saturday is the grand opening, Kim Kaster’s café is going all out. The Saline Area Players start things off with a few numbers from their next production, The Sound of Music. Talented Saline Area Schools students will follow.
Pricing: Free
Where/When: Waterloo State Park, 16345 McClure Rd., Chelsea, 2-3:30 p.m. Saturday.
Why Go: Take a walk with a naturalist from 2-3:30 p.m. to look for signs that the end of winter is near. A trip to the bog is planned (if conditions permit) to see what it’s like this time of year. After the walk, enjoy a hot cider drink provided by the Waterloo Natural History Association.
Pricing: Free, but motor vehicles require a “recreation passport.” They cost $10 annually.
