The Weather

After lighting us up and dunking us late Wednesday night and early Thursday morning, Mother Nature failed to deliver the day full of thunderstorms that we expected. The forecast for Friday is hot and humid with scattered thunderstorms. The storms should give way to sunny skies by 4 or 5 p.m., according to weather.com. A high of 87 is expected. Meanwhile, expect sunny skies and highs near 90 on Saturday and Sunday.

Relay for Life in Saline

Saline Reporter journalist Kevin Doby has the story on Saline’s first-ever Relay for Life weekend. It takes place at the Liberty School track from 10 a.m. Saturday to 10 a.m. Sunday.

Parts Problems at ACH in Saline?

According to the Associated Press, an equipment problem at the Automotive Components Holdings plant in Saline is hampering Ford’s ability to keep up with increasing demand for the Ford Focus. Machinery at the plant doesn’t always work, so Ford has been flying in parts from Europe, according to the story.
