Weather.com calls for a high of 83 with sunny skies and no chance of rain. The sun will rise at 6:39 a.m. and set at 8:40 p.m. The temperatures will remain cool over the weekend, with highs in the mid-70s and scattered thunderstorms Saturday and Sunday.
Rentschler Farm has 20 Booths for the US 12 Garage Sale

There will be at least 20 booths at the Rentschler Farm Museum, 1265 E. Michigan Ave., Friday and Saturday for the U.S. 12 Heritage Trail statewide garage sale. Guests should use the side entrance of Sage Court. A map featuring the locations of many of the garage sales, from Dearborn to Grand Beach, can be found at the US 12 Heritage Trail website.

Saline Parks and Rec hosts Movie in the Park at starting at 6:30 p.m. tonight. This week, the feature presentation is Disney’s Tangled, which starts at dusk. Prior to the show, kids can play in the inflatable obstacle course and jumper, enjoy food from concessions, watch a gymnastics presentation and more. .
EPA Makes It Illegal To Sell Imprelis Herbicide
The Detroit Free Press is reporting that the Environmental Protection Agency has ruled to prohibit the sale of Imprelis, an herbicide that causes injury and death to certain species of trees. Last week, DuPont, the maker of the chemical, voluntarily pulled the product from the market, according to the report. The Free Press also reported that DuPont knew before it put Imprelis on the market that it hurt trees. Read the EPA ruling at the Free Press site.
Buy Books By the Bagful at Corner Book Shop in the Library
Looking to restock the bookshelves for you and your family? The Corner Book Shop, in the , has its “bag sale” Saturday. If you buy one bag of books, videos and merchandise for $5, you’ll get two more bags for free. The sale takes place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Brecon Room in the library. Early birds can get half-price deals Friday from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m., also in the Brecon Room.
