Fair Moves Up, but Demolition Derby Doesn’t
The USA Demolition Derby, a staple of the Saline community Fair, will be held at the Washtenaw Farm Council Grounds at 7 p.m., Sept. 10. The derby is usually held during the fair, but was made a stand-alone event due to scheduling difficulties created when it was announced the fair would begin a week earlier this year.
For those fair-goers who want car-smashing entertainment, the USA Auto Enduro Derby takes place at 7:30 p.m. Sept. 3. The USA Auto-Enduro Derby is similar to a motorcycle Motor Cross, but instead of motorcycles, front-wheel drive vehicles are used. The derby consists of jumps, twists, and turns on technical, challenging courses. For more on the fair, visit www.salinefair.org.
