The Saline varsity girls' golf team finished seventh at the 15-team Brighton Invitational Monday. Emily White was shot a 78 to finish second individually. "Emily began her round two under after four holes, then had a little trouble in the middle of the round, but finished strong," said Saline coach Betsy French. Karla Gross finished at 82 to take seventh place. Stacy Cruze shot a 98 and Heather Vogt came in at 101. French thought her team struggled a little at the tournament. "Our total score was disappointing, but we hope to keep improving," she said. The Hornets are in action Tuesday at Bedford and Wednesday at Dexter.
