• George Contis, Beloved Family Member, Friend and Mentor, 86 (thenationalherald.com) — Saline residents are mourning George N. Contis, who built his family life here after immigrating from Greece and enjoying a long career with MetLife. He was deeply involved in Greek-American organizations, loved golf and Pittsburgh sports, and is remembered for his generosity and warmth. Services were held in Ann Arbor, and donations in his honor can support a Pan-Icarian scholarship fund.
